:) hi,i was wondering if these two piece's of hardware will work together, intel 2.6Ghz HT 800 fsb cpu, the model of the mobo is Intel Desktop Board D845GVSR,or maybe if the fsb's were the other way around thnx in advance?

well, theres a guy on FS/FT selling an ABIT IS7-E that will run that processor supurbly.

Unfortunatley 800MHz CPU's require 800MHz capable mobos to opperate correctly. Being an Intel board I doubt the thing would even boot with that installed. Since they are multiplier locked, if it did boot, you'd get like 1.7GHz. Which would suck ass. Then theres the fact that the BIOS and CPU microcode won't be up to date. Which could lead to stability problems. That chip is worth getting a better board for it. So I would spend 50-74 or so for a decent mobo to go with that.

Yep. It shouldn't be finding a decent motherboard to go with that processor, and the processor itself isn't bad at all.

well thnx for all the information, and to make tings sweeter he's also gunno give me a 3.0Ghz socket 775 cpu just cuz he's in a bind that's gunna save him a lot of moola,i'll have to pat my self on the back for that lol.
