Will the upcoming AMD Bulldozer socket have the same cooler mounts of AM2/AM2+?

Socket AM3+ is just a modified version of AM3, so the cooler should be the same.

Was able to fit a 939 cooler in a am3 socket recently....
yay for amd not making me spend twice every socket change

are older sockets compatible too? 754, 462???

Thread ressurection because I'm upgrading my cooling and would like to futureproof it. Will bulldozer hsf mounts be same as AM2+ ?

AM2 mounts = AM2+ = AM3 = AM3+. Which, if you actually read the OP and subsequent posts, you would know the answer to that question (bulldozer uses AM3+).

Some of the older coolers tho might not have the capacity to handle the heat generated from new generation CPUs tho.

well just make sure the cpu cooler youre getting says that it supports am3+ on the box
