basically I'm planing to build a new computer, and need PSU suggestions, here are the components:

ABIT IP35 Pro

8800GTS G92

Q6600

4 GiGs corsair RAM

1 500GB HD

and a CD/DVD writer...

I've heard many great things bout this corsair 520HX, but I was wondering is 520W is enough for a system like this or not? espcially consdiering I want to overclock.

Yes. I have the 550vx, and it runs everything in my sig. Granted my cpu and vid card are not as power intensive, but there's not too much of a disparity. Plus, I'm not even anywhere near straining my psu, so there's plenty of headroom left. A 520 should do you fine, with room to spare.

Yeah, 520w is definitely enough. I have the same psu and similar specs. it's awesome

I run everything in my sig with it. I also have my cpu overclocked to 3.4ghz + 3 500gb sata drives.

My kill-a-watt shows about 150w idle, 250w four-thread prime95 load for my new clunker (q6600, maximus formula, 8800gt, 2gb ram, three disks, corsair 550).
