Will splitting my PSU cables cause too much load?

I have an Antec Earthwatts 380 power supply. My system is a server with the majority of components being low power. The CPU is 45W AMD, I have 2 fans + CPU, a tape drive, CD-ROM drive, and currently 7 Hard Drives. I have room for 2 more HDs but not enough power connectors. I was wondering if it is safe to use a Y-cable to split 2 of the connectors in this situation? 4 of the HDs are WD green power. The other 2 are Samsung regular drives, and the last is an SSD. I should also mention I have a scsi card and a sata expansion card plugged into the PCI slots. (No video card because the mobo has integrated video).

I think you should have enough PSU to handle a couple more drives. Looking at a couple of calculators on the net your system sits somewhere around 260w - 280w now. According to WD, those Green drives are 6w each. Only other thing you might do to be sure is get a Kil-A-Watt, or some similar tester, and see how much power your server is drawing...

It would be safe for you to use a splitter to connect another two HDs.
