Hello,
I know that Haswell-E chips are supposedly releasing only about a week from now but as excited as I would like to be to get one (specifically the 5820K, I believe it is. ~$400 model) I know that the X99 platform seems to only support DDR4 which I hear will stay quite expensive for probably the next year or two. So I am wondering if there will be any other chipsets or platforms that will support the Haswell-Es but have slots for DDR3 RAM instead? Did the SandyBridge-E and IvyBridge-E chips only have one supported chipset? Sorry if these are dumb questions.
