Will crossfire be enabled with 5870 eyefinity?

[USMC2Hard4U]

I read that Crossfire Eyefinity is limited to the 5970....

Will drivers eventually enable crossfire with eyefinity on the 5800 series?

Thanks, and Happy Thanksgiving.

Eventually...there is no given date for it except to say it's not coming in the 9.12 drivers, so certainly not until next year, other than that AMD havn't officially announced anything, I wouldn't hold your breath to be honest. Buying crossfire now for eyefinity later is a bad idea because by the time eyefinity can use your 2nd GPU the cards will be much cheaper.
