Hey [H],

Was thinking about using an E3 series Xeon on a normal Z68 board. But I just wanted to confirm: Will the chip work on a Z68 and can it run with plain non-ECC memory?

Thanks!

best is go to the mobo website, look for the "compatible CPUs" list.

if the chip's on there, peace of mind

if not, you can still use the chip on the board, but no guarantee that it would be smooth-sailing ...

but yeah, i'd say it will work w/o problems
