plain and simple, im talking to my friend witha 9700pro and he says his dell wont accept them

is this true, i wanna know because im selling my 9600xt to a friend

That, as far as I know, may be the most retarded thing I have ever heard. Dell didn't make the 9700 card in his rig, so, the ati catalyst drivers will work.

When you buy a dell, they tend to have their own motherboard in it, but everything else is from other companies. BTW, screw dells, compaqs, and HP's. They all suck balls.

How would his dell not "accept" them? Thats the most retarded thing i've ever heard lol.

Dell just pre-installs ATI drivers with their bloated version of an OS.

Dell doesn't make ATI cards and they dont make ATI drivers ither.

well, im trying to help my friends stray away from them buy giving my old stuff to them

i was thinking that it would, because i used the catalysts and omegas on my radeon 7000pci on my old gateway(such a pimpin card) and it worked fine

thanks for giving me intestinal fortitude:D

well i have installed cats and forceware drivers on dell machines that used both cards. how is it not accepting the drivers? just installed the new cats on a gateway machine that i repaired at work.
