I will be purchasing a SHUTTLE SB83G5 ( http://www.mwave.com/mwave/viewspec.hmx?scriteria=MB-BA20584 )
My question is, will this: eVGA GF6800GT ( http://www.mwave.com/mwave/viewspec.hmx?scriteria=AA32750 ), video card fit? A friend of mine says that it won't fit. Help?

Also, any suggestions or potential problems with my system?

SHUTTLE SB83G5
PENTIUM 4 640 (3.2G)
KINGSTON 1GB DDR400(512MB X 2)
Western Digital 160GB 1600JD SATA-150 7200RPM 8MB HD
eVGA GF6800GT
NEC 16X/16 DVD DUAL DOUBLE LAYER REWRITABLE DRIVE

It will fit. Any PCI-e VGA card with single slot cooling solution will fit in it.

Altough with a GT card comes recomendation to use 300+ or even 350+ watt Power Supply SilentX 240 watt or SilentX 250 watt will be more then sufficient.
I have SN95G5 and GT6800 so as many other people here.

I'm upgrading from the SN85G4 to the SN95G5 and my 6800GT will work in both XPC models. Fits just fine, and the power supply provides more than enough juice.

Spanks everyone!!!! :) Also, i wanted to know, what are the potential problems that might come from running less power to the video card?

Not realy it just want work and it will hang in 3D applications. On other hand Over volting it will cause damage for shure.
And with Shuttle it will not be under powered.

ahhhh that makes sense. Will the video card function to its fullest capacity? Since it is underpowered I would assume it wouldn't?

Well if it would be underpowered (which it won't) it would just hang in 3D apps. Either it gets enough power (full performance) or it doesn't (hangs/doesn't work at all).
