Will 3500C2 work with C3500C2PT?

I cant find the 3500C2 anywhere for any reasonable price and I cant find anything about it being discontinued... I've seen some 3500C2PT (talkin about the Corsair XMS 3500) and I think the only difference between the 2 is color of the heatspredder. Anyone know if I'll have a problem running 1 stick of the C2 and 1 stick of the C2PT on a IC7-G?

It should work, I'm running two sticks of Corsair 3200LL with two Corsair 3500 at 2,2,2,5 timing.

If you have some older 3500C2 you're probably better off getting mushkin level 2 so that you're matching winbond BH-5 together. The newer 3500 from corsair is CH-5. I have some sticks of both (mushkin and corsair BH-5) and they all play nice together on my canterwood boards.

Would there be a way to check if its BH5 or CH5 without taking the heatsink off? I bought the stick in June last year when I jumped on the IC7-G 2.4 bandwagon. Its been running smooth at 3.12 since the day I set it up using the stock heatsink. Have the chips changed since then ? Its the 512 stick and I planned on buying another stick when I got my next paycheck but I somehow got lazy, hehe...

I just dont want to have to return the stuff and all since I'm at school and its a pain. I'm plannin on buying the ram + a 9800 aiw at once then going home the weekend it arrives to pick it up, I just dont want to drive back to school only to not have it work.

All 3500C2 modules were made with BH-5 memory. Corsair stopped making 3500C2 before Winbond stopped manufacturing BH-5.

It figures that when I actually go to buy the memory newegg and zipzoomfly are out of stock. 101, you're saying that I can buy the Mushkin memory and not have any problems? If so can you toss me a link to the specific product please?
