In about a week I'm going to order 2x 512mb Ballistix 3200ddr for use on a DFI NF4 Ultra-D. But later on this fall, I plan on getting an additional 2x 512 Ballistx. I know I will most likely have to run it at 2T. For a total of 2gigs. Will having all four slots filled affect my 1:1 overclock? I'm going to be aiming for 240mhz FSB. Just thought I would ask. Thanks.
 
240 isnt too high of an OC on memory...I think you will be able to make it.

2T will not hurt how high your MHz can be...if anything it can help you get higher clocks.
 
why not get 2x1GB sticks of BALLISTIX PC4000? This way you are garunteed (sp) to get 250+FSB, and you will keep a 1:1 ratio OC.

In my first post I said I would get two more 512 sticks later. I'm getting new mobo, cpu, ram and graphics card. I can't spend anymore... lol :p
 
Then you might consider getting 1 x 1gb stick now, then another later. The performance diff. in dual channel isn't life changing (it does help, but don't let it deter you), plus you'll still be able to run 1t later when you get the 2nd gig.
 
I've seen a few articles that seem to show that the performance difference between running at 1T or 2T isnt that great for real world stuff. With A64 systems, memory performance is very much secondary to pure CPU horsepower.

the pc3200 can easily break 250mhz. hell, mine does it at 2.5-2-2, then can do 270mhz with 2.5-3-3. buying the higher rated ballistix is useless, at best :p
