I haven't been able to connect to the Wii shop since Sunday. Every time I try to connect I get an error saying cannot connect.

The wireless connection tests fine in the Wii settings area.

Is anyone else having consistent problems?

My frind called inintendo yesterday with the same problem... they told him the servers are still getting hammered.. give a few more days is they he said..

I got in last night, all fine and dandy. Bought the original Zelda, too. I'm waiting for some other games to come out before I spend my remaining 1500 points. :)

If you have a hard time connecting, either it's their server or it's on your end.

Lots of words is that the Wii is quite susceptible to interference, so if you change your wireless router's broadcast channel to 1 or 11 (default for all routers is 6) it should help having a better connection.

I coudn't connect to the Wii Shop before I changed that on my router, now it's fine and working everytime

I bought 2000 points last night and downloaded Sonic the Hedgehog and Bomberman '93.
I didn't want to download NES titles for which I already have cartridges. :D

We tried and tried all night to no avail, and so we busted out the router's settings menu thing and poked around in there.. The only thing that made it work, was I set it to channel 10. Weird how it could make all the difference but it did.

they need to get that ethernet adapter out, and with a quickness.
And cheap! Seriously it shouldn't cost more than $10-15 when it does eventually come out..

Is it just me, or don't they have all the games up in the shop that are listed on the website? I don't see Gunstar Heroes, or any TG16 games... is that just me, or are those on the way?

In other news, I really...really hope they either reduce the prices of VC games. Asking me to spend $5 on NES Pinball is a big stretch. I would rather they change NES games to say 200 points, Super NES/Genesis/TG16 for 400-500, and N64 for 800. Considering that none of the VC games have been enhanced with say... multiplay over internet, I think these prices are fair.

Ahh well.

Cheaper than buying it for like $20+ on GBA or DS (those 'classic' release ones..)

I'm not sure about specific games, but I think that they're planning on releasing 10 per month starting in January to the Virtual Console. They may still be adding them up to that point, but as of now I know that their servers are exploding with people downloading shit, so I'm sure they're in no hurry.

And those were horrifically overpriced, too. It's hard to justify $5-10 on a game that's had literally zero enhancements when Microsoft's selling great new indie games for the same price range (Outpost Kaloki X, Zuma, Cloning Clyde, Small Arms, et al).

That small arms game rocks! I can't wait to have a bunch of people over so I can get some 4-player action going on that.. Such a good deal IMO, because it's very fun and cheaper than Nintendo's $50 version :)

hoping they release Earthbound
Well with 10 games a month coming out, i'm sure they will try release all the games people will actually buy, not just junk to fill up the market.. When they mentioned Mario RPG was coming, my heart skipped a beat..

I hope they clean up the interface a little, it seems very dated IMO..

this thing laterally can suffice for a jaundice component to get you online now. just hook et ups in a twisted coax if you needs teh information pm me your infos and I can ebay you schematics

also I knows somewon at natendo who seys that if u want to get to a webs yuo will need to purchase 4 GBAs and a touchdic.

please check ebay prices on some of those games before you buy... 5$ is a little too much for many, many NES games, as well as snes/genesis and N64

TG games on the other hand... please oh please buy the shooters... and galaga 90! galaga 90 is awesome! as long as the prices are reasonable :)

for instance... it would not be worth paying 40 bucks to get 7 stars... but if it's the same price as the other games, hell yes it's worth it! otoh... don't pay 10/8/5 bucks or whatever to get starfox.

Yeah I've installed the updates.

DNS isn't an issue as I was able to purchase 1000 points and Zelda on Sunday. Every time since then I haven't been able to connect. I just changed my wireless router to channel 11 so we'll see tomorrow night. I have to hide the Wii from kids for now.
