No, this isn’t a joke. Some guy, while trying to steal a Wii-remote, assaulted two guards with the Wii remote and got away. I can just see the lawsuit filed by the guards right now…I mean, Nintendo did name the thing “nunchuk”.

In Nagoya, Japan, a man broke into the local Bic Camera (an electronics retailer) and tried to make off with a Wiimote. When stopped by the guards, he used his years of training as a repressed nerd to bludgeon them savagely with the controller.

lmfao. I wish there was an animated gif of someone being nunchuck assaulted by a wii controller. hahahahah.

This has got to be a...

No, this isn’t a joke...

Oh, never mind:p .

If I knew those guards I'd follow them around and laugh at them. This thief better have been a bodybuilder/judo master or something. (Note to self: rob stores in japan)

You have got to be kidding me. It's a damn remote...

Actually it is a joke (but a funny one). If you read the original article, all it says is he punched the guards. No mention of actually using the Wii remote as a weapon.

thats hilarious. i don't care if he just punched the guards. he had that wiimote in his hand and thought he was playin wiisports boxing. lol

Lol...what on earth...and he got away? I mean obviously he got caught.....stupid to commit robbery, but the situation is quite comical.

Still, using the Wiimote as a fistload has gotta hurt.
