Wiggle USB = Crash

Was wondering if anyone could help me out. If I wiggle the connector of my Super JoyBox Pro 5 (http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-6m-49-en-70-qc4.html), I get a blue screen crash that says something about dumping the physical memory. After complete, the pc will restart itself. This is really irritating because 'wiggling' includes accidentally kicking it, or -barely- even touching it.

At which end? Does it crash when you wiggle it at the computer, or at the connectors in the Joybox to ps2 end.

Is there a different USB you can try plugging it into?

If its on the joybox side, you can try just replacing it. If its at the computer side and moving it to a new USB port doesnt help. You might have a faulty motherboard.
 
My brother had a similar problem. Mostly, a reseating of the motherboard fixed the desk/case being nudged and it crashing/rebooting. But for some reason, the front panel of his Antec Two Hundred is really buggy. Insert/remove anything in the audio/USB ports and the computer proceeds to crash/reboot. After disconnecting the cabling and not using them, its fine.

Could just be a shoddy port, too.
 
I had a similar problem years ago that I resolved by reseating the motherboard and front panel connectors (it was my front panel USB that was the problem).

I would definitely try Jesta's suggestion of narrowing it down to which USB ports cause the problem. If you have another PC, you can rule out the Joybox being the cause.
 
Thanks everyone. Yeah, definitely does sound like a motherboard related issue. Not only do the two front USBs cause the crash, but unfortunately (surprise to me) some in the back do as well. Even for things to connect at all, I sometimes have to wiggle around to get just the right connectivity.

So are you saying that perhaps my mobo's loose? Or just screwed in kind of awry? Because this problem only surfaced a couple of months ago; first year or so it was fine.
