I've had issues with my Ralink chipset based Edimax 7128 802.11g PCI adapter that I bought because of reported compatibility with Vista 64. Now I think my problems stemmed from a quality issue rather than a compatibility issue, but either way i am getting an RMA on the part.
What I'm looking for now is a wireless adapter that is compatible with Vista 64. I really want to minimize any sort of return possibility so I'd like to go with a something that has a good reputation quality wise. In searching around I've found that some people are recommending wireless bridges to avoid any sort of compatibility issues with their OS.
What would you guys recommend for Vista 64? Is there much difference in performance, if at all, between a USB wifi dongle and a PCI wireless card? Would a wireless bridge perform better or worse?
