Wife ever made you return a game?

Well this is a first for me, been gaming a long time and never been pressured by a female to return a game I purchased but yesterday walked in the house after a long day at the office with House of the Dead:Overkill. I ate dinner, played with my 2 boys a little and went to my HT room turned on the game and started playing it and man I thought Afro was bad.

The black cop in House you play says MF, FU like every 2 seconds, maybe every second. They tried to give him the personality of Sam jackson x10 and I thought it was extremely funny but my wife overheard the repeat FU's and came in and sat down and was blown away, after she seen a nipple, heard shut the fuck up motherfucker 20 times, seen a man committ suicide by jumping in his mother's giant vagina, who he also admitted to sleeping with. And no I'm not joking that really happened.

She thought it was way too much. I told her they were doing a Grindhouse type of vibe and the over the top language and other stuff was just part of it but she wouldn't have it, she(evil bitch) said I have to take it back today.The sucky thing is I got it from asstop so there probably gonna give me like 15 bucks credit for it.

Of coarse my kids were asleep, while I was playing but WoW the game's great but it's the dirtiest game I've ever played. Your doing yourself a disservice if you don't atleast rent it, I beat it in about 3 hours, but it's better than House 2/3 but just don't buy it or your wife(evil bitch) might just make you return it.;)
 
I've heard about that ending.. you can search youtube for it for those curious enough.

The game is great. I beat it but then deleted my save file because the scoring system is severely flawed. That's my only gripe...that in order to grind money in director's cut, you have to purposely play shitty in normal mode (Iecause you are limited to a certain amount of money you can make for the same level in the different modes. Say like 10k (arbitrary number) for Ballistic Trauma). If you got 9k in normal mode for BT, you could only make 1k in DC.
 
Heh, its funny you mention that game. My fiancée actually just got it for me as part of my Valentines day gift.

I will admit though it is a little over the top in some aspects, but we still enjoy it.
 
Wow, that's some insane stuff there.

I think if I had bought DOAX2, she would have made me return it.
 
WOW. I had no idea that game was so over the top. I don't have any kids so my wife wouldn't really care...but if I did I bet it would be a different story. I think the "WTF" factor would probably entertain my wife right now.
 
My wife curses like a sailor on a drinking binge- except when she's around our daughter. Go figure.

She'd have my nuts made into earrings if I was caught calling her an evil bitch too. I don't think I've ever called her a name in 15 years- 10th wedding anniversary in November.

She also does not censor my game or movie choices :) Most of my games are for the older crowd anyhow, and I'm very aware of what my daughter is exposed to.
 
If you aren't a pussy and your balls aren't in her purse, she shouldn't be making you do a damn thing. Why are guys these days afraid to stand up to their women? Tell her you aren't taking it back and you'll only play it when the kids aren't around. That's fair.

Because if his wife is anything like my wife; she is probably in charge of the money.

Although, my wife has never told me to return a game. But she does get pissed off at me because I buy a new game every week and never finish any of them.

Creepingdeath1977, I don't know though. If I had bought that game and I didn't return it myself I'm sure my wife would ask me to.

That comes as no surprise to me. I've had half a dozen chicks try to chain me down with marriage. Considering that all but one are gone for various reasons, I'd have been six times divorced by now if I was that stupid. No thanks. When I kick some woman out to the curb like Tuesday's trash I'm going to keep *ALL* my stuff.

However, that's not what this is about. It is about guys these days being pussies and not being able to stand up for themselves and have thier own opinions about things. Sure you may have an opinion but obviously no voice. I do not understand how men can exist in this way. I'm not saying don't ever compromise or don't listen to what she has to say, but don't let her run your life either. Why would you want her to be in charge of the money? That's what I don't understand. If you are the primary earner in the home, YOU should be in charge of the money, not vice versa.

if you let your woman tell you what you can and cannot play within the bounds of legality I see no reason you shouldn't be able to tell her to walk around the house with no clothes on. all is fair in a relationship. if she is willing to take then you should be able to take as well.

That's what suprised me the most man, I'm playing this game and it's got all this crazy shit in it, bad guy open mouth kissing his 200 year old mother, then this bitch turns into a 100 foot tall monster with 3 boobs swinging and a vagina the size of a VW van. And I'm like this shouldn't be on the Wii, this should be on the CD-i or sumpthin:D

But they do give you a minigun during the scene, so that's a plus.:p
 
Wow that game sounds amazing, i have to get a wii now.

Anyways, she shouldn't be getting her panties in such a bundle over your hobby. It would be one thing if you forced her to play with you, or did it around your kids, but you are doing it just for you. She is making you return it because SHE doesn't like it. Grow a pair and stand up to her once in awhile.

I'm no pussy, and my ball's are HUGE:eek: but in all seriousness I do handle the money in our marriage and she has never said you need to get rid of a game until last night.

But I'll take it back cuz she doesn't mind me playing games when she want's to cuddle on the couch and watch desperate housewife's and she was cool with me buying my arcade machine for my HT room about a month ago so. And let's not forget the whole if she's pissed at me I get no ass factor there.

Don't listen to these "Men" on the forums. They are trying to be macho not manly. There is a big difference. Marriage is about compromise, not telling the "evil bitch" whats what. If you are referring to your wife in that way there is a lot more going on in your marriage then her wanting you to return a game. It's one game big deal, is it really worth causing trouble in your marriage for? Be a Man return the game and appreciate your wife for all the great things she does for you, like having a HT room with an arcade machine and not getting bothered by you playing games for hours on end.

I don't think you could be more wrong if you tried. I know that compromise is necessary in a relationship but her telling you to return a game is indicative of a bigger problem. Why would there be a need to compromise on that? Why the hell would she want you to return it? It can't be the money. In fact you lose money buy taking it back. The attitude you have that "its not that important, I'll just sit here and take it" is a problem that will only grow with time. That is not healthy. It isn't being a man to cave into her at every turn. Its called being a pussy.
 
The thing I really don't understand is she's cool with me having 60gigs of porn but not this?:rolleyes:

I mean the Wii is mainly for the kids I honestly don't play it very much unless it's a LG game like this but I was just going to keep it with my PS3/360 games so my 5 year old didn't pop it in instead of mario galaxy.

You are missing the point. Being a man is standing up for what is right and just not throwing a fit because your wife wants you to take back a video game that she obviously does not want around the house and children. Pick your battles. No where in my post did I say cave into her every will. The point is its just a video game, there are more important things in life that are worth taking a stand for and this definitely isn't one of them.

All it would take is for him to be playing it AFTER the kids have gone to bed. Next thing you know, kid is standing behind you watching/listing to it. Shit hits the fan then. Thats why she is asking him to return it. Kids do crazy stuff and last thing you need is the kid spurting that crap out all day long.

Now I agree that men should be able to stand up for themselves and have their own opinion. We do have some serious wus-itis these days. I'm getting that straight right now. When I got married, my stuff came with the relationship. ALL of it. My wife accepts everything about me and that is that. That is why I married her. She even browses GenMay when I'm reading it. People that insist on changing another need to look elsewhere. I misunderstand you on some things because you present it in a rather "ruthless" manner. Then again, maybe you truly feel that way. That's not how my relationship is. I don't mind if she's in charge of the money. I trust her, I know how much is there and if I want something, I will buy it.

Well i actually can understand not playing game with swearing with young boys. Does swearing actually improve the gameplay?

But my girlfriend only helped me quit WOW. Im glad i did it actually, it helped my life in so many ways!
