Wierd visual defect in WoW

I have a Radeon x1900xtx. After playing WoW for awhile I get this wierd plaid texture on my character. But not on any other NPC's. And if I tab out and then go back in the plaid textuer is gone and won't come back again for atlittle while.

Any idea what this is about?

I had that exact same problem with my x1900xt. Are you by chance running it in Vista? That's the only time the problem surfaced. In XP WoW was always flawless. I just contributed it to an immature driver and moved on. I did find that when you alt tab out of full screen mode and then go back into it the face is redrawn correctly for a little bit. But it'd always go back to the weird look.

What Catalyst version are you running? If it's the latest one try dorpping back one or two versions. If you're not running the latest (6.11 I think) then try to update them and see if that helps.

It has happened in versions 6.10 and 6.11. I'll have to try 6.9 and see what happens.
