Wierd problem

When I click n drag sometimes the selection rectangle (dunno what you call it) will get stuck. This only seem to happen on desktop. Also the system sometimes stutters (short freezes) when im loading say CS which is wierd since my old computer didnt have the problem. Most of the time its blazing fast. Specs are E6600 @ 3.2, 2gb ram, 74gb Raptor in 2 partitions (XP and Vista), 320gb Seagate for storage, Asus P5W motherboard. Its really annoying me since otherwise this system screams. Any help will be appreciated.

Did your system do this before the OC. Im looking at that as a major liklihood.
