I have been using my new computer for a while now and i dont know what is causing this problem. i think that the problem started after i got my 6600gt and replaced my shitty psu that died on me with the antec in my sig.

the problem is that i get blue screen of death for about 1 second then reboot when quitting games (mostly counterstrike source). It is really annoying and it seems strange because i can play the game for a really long time (like 3+ hours at once) and it is perfectly stable and my fps stays around 80-90 on most maps.

i believe that all of my drivers are current and the system is really stable while using all applications.

I found this thread down in Operating Systems... almost the same symptoms and hardware. It appears the NX bit on the A64, coupled with the DEP switch in SP2 are the culprit.

Here read this describing exactly your same problem (almost down to the same hardware) and its resolution as posted above. Also, here is what MS has to say about the noexecute switches.

Takes 30 seconds to edit and a few minutes to find out.

thank you very much, i have not had the problem after trying this. I tried searching and found nothing. Thanks again!
