ok on my home PC I have a wierd ping problem all of a sudden. I will go into a server in CS2 and my ping fluxuates wierd. I will start off with like a 500 ping and it will continue to lower all the way down to the 40s or so, but then it spikes back up to 500 and starts all over again. It continues to do this over and over and I keep lagging out. It happens on any and all servers. Anyone have any expierience with this? bellsouth says its not their lines and when i go a dsl reports im getting 386k up and 2.5 down. how ever look at this;
as you can see it jumps in the middle of the pings from 40-50 to 800+ and if I leave this running for 15 minute or more it will keep doing the same thing. If this hardware or line problems you think? bellsouth says they did a line test and nothing is wrong, they even swapped out my speedtouch home for a new 2-wire business router to see if that helps and nothing.
