I think my hard drive is fried. The 40gb cheapo maxtor hard drive for my linux machine refused to boot. It would load the command line grub boot loader but go no further. Usually it does the graphical version of grub. I used the MaxBlast cd to check it and it keeps saying that it cant read it, but it will display the information about it(size etc..) The fact that it loads any of grub shows that it isn't totally gone, but I can't seem to get anything else from it. Any suggestions? Or should I start shopping? Thanks.
 
hm...test the hd on another computer see if it loads up on that, if so reinstall!
