Well, just recently a few wierd little problems have been arising and I can't figure them out for the life of me. One problem is out of nowhere my monitor will be on ( NEC 1760v ) and the screen will go entirly black. The power light will still be on, but it's acting as if it is shut off. I just have to turn the monitor off and then back on and I get my screen back, now this is getting very annoying cause it's so random.
The other problem is when I'm playing Lineage2 (this has just happened recently with in the last few weeks), out of no where my computer locks up and my screen goes blue. Not the BSOD or anything like that, just blue and that's it. This also happens at random times, because I can have the game running for hours and no problem. Then I could have had the computer on for 10minutes and it does this. It only does this so far in this game, though I will test more in hopes to rule somethigs out.
I have not installed anything new at all or changed anything on my computer for a while so a hardware problem wouldn't make sense. My computer temps are running the normal that they always run even under the higest of stress. If anyone has any ideas or has run into this problem and can help I'd so appreciate it. This game is my only relaxation for the week and now it's becoming a pain having to reboot out of nowhere.

Current Setup

Windows XP PRO (SP2)
ATI 9800 pro (stock speeds atm) - 5.6 Drivers (was at 5.1 when problem was occuring)
XP 1800 @ 2.2ghz
1gig Mushkin PC3200 @ 200mhz
Abit NF7-S 2.0

The CPU and Video card are both watercooled but the temps are reading normal as stated before.

Thanks ahead of time

Sounds like a monitor issue to me. Do you have interlacing on your monitor? That would be a sign of it lacking power.

Would that also be the cause of my screen going blue though?

My Hitachi CML174SWXB LCD soemtimes goes black, but it's somehow related to power. If I've been using the monitor for long time periods, and I haven't turned off the main power switch (there's 2 power switches, one's main power and the other is regular power - not sure how to word it), it will go black at random times, or when a game switches into a custscreen. As soon as I turn the main power off for a few minutes, it will stop doing it for a few weeks. When it goes black, the monitor goes into standby.

I have no idea about the blue issue. Have you tried to recreate the issue without OC'ing your CPU?

Well I'm assuming the monitor going black out of nowhere was due to some power issues. My main concern is my entire screen going blue out of nowhere and locking my system up.

Yah I've turned everything down to stock settings and even then it will occur, so I've hopefully ruled out any OC'in issue
