Im looking to buy a new LCD Widescreen if i do not have HDTV will the picture be cropped so that its not stretched.

Pretty much all LCD TV's give you the option of watching your regular TV programming so there are black bars on the left and right sides, giving you an un-stretched picture. There is also usually an option to "justify" a stretched image, which means the sides are stretched a LOT, but the middle of the image looks normal. This way you can use all your screen but subjects in the middle look normal.

If you're talking about LCD monitors, not all of them have these options.

so its really not that noticable? thanks for the reply, also i saw that the westie 42in and westie 37in dont have a built in HD tuner, does that mean that i need to get a HD cable box to watch HD cable? But i can still connect it to the computer and watch HD trailers right?

Yes, you can still use the Westinghouse for your computer etc.

All the tuner does is allow you to watch Over-the-Air channels with an antenna, or Cable without a box (but not all the channels).
