How compatible are these with most games out there? Thinking about getting one for an upgrade, just wondering how they work with most games
 
Most newer games, from 2004 to the present, have widescreen modes. A notable exception is Doom 3. A lot of games that don't support widescreen can be tweaked to do so. Check out www.widescreengamingforum.com for lots of info on widescreen gaming.

I have the dell 20'' widescreen and u can do the bars or stretch. Honestly I dont think stretch mode looks bad at all.
