My friend was recently updating all the tv's around his home and sold me one of his old lcd's, a Sharp LC-22SV2U at a bargain price. I really had no need for the new tv and instead decided to use it as a monitor. The manual for the display said it could not be used with pc's but I hooked up my videocard to the monitor using an s-video cable without a problem. While watching a movie the screen works great delivering awesome clarity but when using it for everyday pc use there's an issue. The widescreen display stretches the text, originally meant for a regular pc monitor i assume, making it very difficult to read text or view images. I have tried working with the settings for my soundcard and the display options on the tv, but aside from being able to enlarge the text to a size huge enough that i can read even with the blur, i did not have any success. if anyone could help e out it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance
