Widescreen displays and Graphics Tablets

Hey all just had something occur to me recently. I am considering buying a widescreen LCD and do the occasional work with a graphics tablet, my question would be how does the aspect ratio of a 16:10 widescreen display affect info coming from a regular graphics tablet? I recently saw that someone had made one that was in widescreen aspect ratio and this got me curious? Anyone with Apple Cinema Displays or Dell Monitors with tablets have any problems with stretching? Or is this even an issue?

It will affect it, like a horizontal line will become longer than a vertical one even though your hand travels as long (did that make sense?)
Wacom has however recently released a widescreen tablet which you might wanna look at, in Wacoms software theres also settings for how much of the screen to use, how much of the tablet to use, etc, so you could probably fix it somewhat.

was going to point that out ;)
as I use an ancient serial Intous but with the modern drivers & software
and two 21"ers in dual screen, works fine for me

also wacom just announced a new wide format tablet. check their website. i think its 6x11

Awesome thanks guys, I was looking at the wacom wide tablet but it was around $400 I think and I just can't afford that right now. As much as I would love that I just can't justify it.

I've got a 2005fpw and an intuos2, i just make it to where the bottom 3/4" or so of my wacom is unusable, that way its the same aspect ratio as my monitor, works great
