Translation from some discussion for widescreen 19" or 20" or 24":

A: 19" is just a transition product

B: 19" 1440x900 dot pitch 0.285mm
20" 1680x1050 dot pitch 0.258mm
19" text just okay, but 20" dot pitch too close the text too small...the 20" are only for movie is better than 19". The 20" is just like the 17", got the problem of the text too small.

C: Both 19" and 20" don't support HDTV 1080p standard. So just wait for 24" gain ground...both 19" and 20" are the transition for the 1080p HDTV. And the 20" price is much higher than 19" so the 19" got the highest performance/cost ratio

D: dot pitch:
20" 0.258, 21" 0.27, both are 1680x1050, so the 21" is better than 20"
23" 0.258, 24" 0.27, both are 1900x1200, so the 24" is better than 23"

E: The 20" is face to the high-end market and the 19" is just for the mid or lower market.

Above are the translated discussion from a forum, anyone feel tired after staring at the 20" text? And the 19" got the highest performance/cost ratio? I'm also confused anyway

And your posting random information that you translated from another forum for what reason?

B'coz I'm debating with 20" or 24", but the 24" price is very high in my place, 1375USD even after discount. But after seeing these, I'm confused to get a 19" or 20" first till the 24" gain ground. Any opinions input would be appreciate...

I went with the 19" WS because the extra inch or so that the 20" WS offered wasn't worth the price, and the 24" WS is just to much money for me to justify to myself for a computer part.
