I am thinking about buying an LCD. The 22" wide screens are in the price range I was looking at.
I have an EVGA 6800 GS Co 256MB video card which does not list the 1680X1050 resolution as a native resolution it does. That is the resolution that is listed as the recommended resolution for the LCD's I am considering.
Will my card be able to run the LCD's?
On EVGA's website the specs of the card say it will do a max res of 1600X1200 digital or 2048X1536 analog.
Does that mean I would have to run a wide screen LCD in analog? Is that a good or a bad thing?
I do not know a whole lot about LCD's so an information you can give will be appretiated, Thanks.

It should be fine, since the display basically tells the system what it can do and then that option will show in your vid control panel, I ran a 6800GT on my widescreen at 1680x1050 no problem.

I have a 6800GT and I'm looking at different monitors right now (20-22" wide) and I was wondering how it runs games (bf2, coh, fear) at 1680x1050. I plan on an 8800GTS in the future, but I don't wanna run my games at 20fps for 6 more months. :p

excellent, thanks for the info. Now all I have to do is try to decide which LCD to buy.
