Hey all

I have a Dell 8400.
P4 3400 Mhz
4x 512 DDR2-533Mhz
Geforce 6800GTO
925X chipset
Maxtor 250 GB s-ata

I have ordred a new HD: Maxtor MaXLine III 250GB SATA2 16MB 7200RPM

My hd is 2 partions C: (Windows, installed programs, games etc) and D: ( private files, movies, games etc Only files!!)

My current hd is almost full :) so i ordred a new one but my question is :

1. Should i connect my new hd like a third partion ?
2. Should i do raid 0 ??
3. How much would i gain if i do raid and what is bad with it ??
4. Another tips ;)

I play much games like : Bf2, Cs: s, AOE3 and many.

I just want good prefomance and faster loading times etc if possible.

Thx all who help me.

1.) Might as well.
2.) Read this http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=952998
3.) See number 2.
4.) If you want raid you will, most likely, need to back up everything off the harddrive and do a complete reformat of the system to set raid up.
5.) Please, PLEASE, check spelling and what not before posting. It will help alot towards people understanding your problem and make it much easier to read your posts/titles.

sorry man :(:(. i am really bad at eng :) but i do my best. I hope u will understand anyways :) thx again

I'd suggest installing it as a seperate drive, and keeping copies of all your essential stuff on both drives, with an automatic solution if possible. If you reinstall BF2 to the new drive, then you'll likely get a decent boost, first because you'll have one drive to handle OS stuff etc, and second because it'll reduce fragmentation. Raid 0 is a gimmick on the desktop, even for gamers.
