been trying to get an wireless network up in my house. everything is set to default and connection kicks out after a minute or two, been messing with different settings for 10 hours now, i'm really fed up with this. also been doing 4 hours of troubleshooting on top of that, distance doesn't make a difference as far as i can tell. after a few minutes it says no connection available, and i have to re-loginto the WEP security.

To clarify, he means make sure you have the 802.1x authentication in your wireless connection properties turned off. And that was what I was going to suggest.

yes, that worked, another "dumb" default setting on windows XP.

the only thing that makes sence is that since my connection is locked down through WEP and Mac address, the extra certification XP does causes the router to drop me thinking that i'm an intruder maybe??
