i can run my computer on 264 cpu fsb and that makes it 2.9 Ghz from the stock 2.2..
ok i can set in to 265 in bios and it boots up fine and everything and then i check me cpu speed and its at 2.2?? so i think well mabye it just didnt save or mabye the bios reset somehow.. so i go back into bios and its still set to 265..... so i try booting up again and it shows 2.2 again... so i try one mroe time to boot up and then it gives me an error that the windows system config file is missing and i have to reinstall windows...... this is happened twice..... now ive reinstalled with xp pro... will this make a dif??? if now what do yall think is the problem>?

it sounds like a mobo problem, I have a cheap ECS mobo that will not allow me to boot to anthing grater than FSB 260 but i use clockgen and run it with a FSB of 270 all day long.
If i set the FSB higher than 260 in the bios it results in a 193 FSB.

Actually sounds RAM related to me. What settings are you running your RAM on and what are the detailed specs of your system?

i dunno... my mobo is supposed to be pretty overclockable... as for my ram its the settings are...

gig of value select corsair ram pc3200 ddr 400 droped to ddr333 and running now at 206 with the cpu overclocked to 2.9 with a 246 fsb.

3.0-4-4-8 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS)

my computer is a..
amd 64 3700+ san diago core.
soltek K8TPro 989 mobo.
gig of value select corsair ram.
80 gig plain 7,200 rpm drive.
radeon x800xl oced to 450/555

how can i use clockgen on my mobo???
