They've had the Mario Party 7 bundle out of stock for quite a while now... I know it's a great deal but are they REALLY selling that many? I may end up spending my gift card on a joystick... but lots of the good joysticks are sold out too.

Just checked, and Best Buy is sold out of the Mario Party bundle too... apparently people realize $99 for it is nearly stealing.

Gamecube has a very impressive library, is cheap, great for kids, and is cheap! Plus MP7 is awesome! :) It's a win/win situation. I can see why they are selling out. Try Wal-Mart, Target, etc.
 
There's tons at the Circuit Citys, EB / GameStops, and Walmarts where I live.

You can always get the thing used.
 
Sounds like he has a cc girf card to spend. See if they can get one transfered in for you. Yes mario party 7 is pretty cool. But that system has a bunch of great games for it as well.
 
Yeah sucks that they have it at other Circuit Cities, but not one here. AND you can't order it online. I'm waiting on the notification for when they have them back in stock, but I wish I had any idea how long it would take.

Walmart is even out of stock...at $130, $30 higher than most other retailers.

I'd probably buy it elsewhere if I could find it... since I'll spend $70 at Circuit City in a year pretty easily... but I've yet to find it elsewhere for $99. I don't really want to pay $99 for the base system then miss out on a free game, free mic, and free controller.
 
Don't spend $130 on that bundle. I can get it for $109 here (and that's Canadian funds). However, it is sold out here as well. Considering how much hardware/software you get, it's the best Gamecube bundle around so a lot of people did buy it. Just wait for them to replenish their stock, or go to other big box stores and little game stores (EB/Gamestop/ToysRUs etc) alike and see if you can find it. Don't settle for another bundle, if you're going to get a bundle - the MP7 bundle is the best bang for your buck.

Check GameStop and ToysRUs? Also, some times the stock on websites does not correspond to the stock in stores (this is often the case with Bestbuy for me, so I sometimes have to actually step out of my house to get something) :p
 
Yeah, online checks of the stocks aren't an accurate gauge of actual in-store stock. On the day that DQVIII launched, it said that all the game stores around me did not have it in stock yet. Well, my friend and I head out there and bought it at the mall.

I suggest you phone up the stores and ask.

You can also try the crappier stores like FYE (ugh). Also, got a Costco's, BJ's, or Sam's Club membership? One of those might still have it in stock.
 
I work at a walmart here in vancouver, and we have our gamecubes for $72... thats CDN, so I dunno, $60-65US? Super cheap and well worth it me thinks.
 
How much is the Mario Party 7 bundle (comes with gamecube, 2 controllers, 1 mic, and 1 copy of mario party 7) in your WalMart? Just out of curiousity, cause I think it's still $129 Canadian here, and the Cubes by themselves are $109.
 
Costco had the metroid prime bundle - gc, memory card, and extra controller - for $99. They had plenty last week.

Sounds like the stores won't matter so much as the geographical location. They have them popping out of every retail orifice around here...

And I agree - the GC is so cheap now that there's no excuse not to have one, even if it's to play only 1 or 2 games...

Costco is a warehouse store, they never put anything on their website. Atleast here in Canada. I go there mostly for my groceries.
 
why not buy it @ your wal-mart and have them price match it for cheatper???? or does wally world not price match??

circuit city had a pick up item deal and so did best buy, i find it weird you cant order it. maybe at the store and they ship it to that one?


i have a gamecube and i used it for a month. to play metroid, got stuck and gave up. my ps2 is collecting a bit of dust as well but i used it a lot in the past. just my pc is primary for gameplay except for the occasional console title.

That bundled link lists nothing about the included Microphone. Maybe it's their own bundle? If it's the Nintendo bundle, it does include a mic - but it's not listed anywhere, there... Careful? :)

EDIT: It sounds like they will pricematch a competitor's ad, but I know of no place with an ad on this, especially locally. It might be worth trying to print out the pages from Circuit City and Best Buy and seeing if they would take that, but I kinda doubt it. I might try calling to ask tomorrow.

EDIT x 2: MP7 Bundle is "ONLINE ONLY" according to WalMart. I saw their pitiful selection of Gamecube games the other day, but no Gamecubes now that I think of it. I'm not going to bother with this one, unless they have an online price matching service (it's out of stock though...)

I finally got my Gamecube today!

I checked Bestbuy.com this morning and it said the local store had it in stock! Score! I went there a few hours later, didn't see it

I asked and it was being sold by the XBox 360's and such. Picked it up, started walking around. I got some funny looks from a few guys carrying an X360 around, and thought to myself, "My computer can kick your XBox's ass".

Got Super Smash Brothers Melee because I knew Circuit City wouldn't have it. Went up to the register to check out. The checker asked me if I would like to sign up for a 2-year protection plan for $10. Smiling, I told her I thought I would be fine. She asked if I was sure, and smiling even more, I said yes. She then went on to explain that if I have to get it serviced "and you will" (her exact words), it would be much more expensive than $5 a year. Again, I said no thanks. Her final desperate attempt to squeeze $10 out of me was to say that if it breaks and need repairs, I'll have to come back to the store and buy one for $99 because I didn't buy the $10 protection plan.

Now would be a good time to note that I have a my own computer, built myself, serviced myself, and running like a dream, a working SNES that is probably half as old as me, CD's I bought in 1995, and software for devices I bought at least five years ago. It ALL works.

So then after she gives up that attempt, she says, "You have the choice of signing up for Time magazine, Sports Illustrated," and some other bullshit magazine. Smirking now, I say, "I don't want to sign up for that." She gives up, asks me to insert my PIN # for my Debit Card, and hands me my stuff. No, she did NOT give me a bag. Bitch.

Off to Circuit City to buy lots of games, Gamecube disc wallet, and a system selector! Except, the games I wanted, they didn't have. Same deal with the Gamecube game wallet. And the system selector was way overprice (3 inputs for $38). So I got a 264 CD wallet and came home.

Well that's my exciting retail experience. Sorry for bumping the old thread, but I just wanted to celebrate FINALLY getting a god damn Mario Party 7 bundle!

Actually, go grab a 24 and some buddies, and play Mario Party drinking games (the mic portions will certainly turn out interesting!) ;)
 
I already got Wind Waker because it's about the only game that Wal-Mart had that slightly interested me. Well, that would be reasonably close to my $20 gift card that I had. (Bout $23.50 with shipping)
 
I know we're all lazy bastards here (I get a lot of my stuff online) but if you could save a shipping fee, you should've went to your local walmart and grabbed it yourself :)

Alright, now you've got RE4 to buy... lol. But work on what you've got for the moment.
 
I was at Wal-Mart at one point, but I didn't get anything because I planned on buying Animal Crossing. Since they didn't have it, I decided to buy online.

Sorry, but I can only take Wal-Mart one or two times a year. It's just not my thing.
