Why was the Digital Storeage name changed

My orginal question was answered by me taking another look at the forum....


But i am still curious on the choice of names for the storeage foum Disk storage implies that there is a disk involved and wasnt the orginal name Digital Storage. Which implies it is just storeage on a media. I know this is not important but i couldnt find the delete button.
