All forum threads seem to end in a argument, especially the ones Ati v Nvidia and the Intel v Amd threads. To be honest this is all good hardware we are seeing and the diffences between are very small. This is my opinion on the latest hardware.
X800xt - d3d gaming
6800u - Ogl gaming
Both very good cards, personally I prefer the X800, but thats through my own experiences.
And as for the new processors out, I find the "A64 owns gaming" a bit of an exageration.
I mean the difference between say the new 3800+ and the 3.8prescott is so very small. Ok the 3800+ may pull out an extra 5 frames in the latest benches, But when you are talking 60frames+ can you really tell the difference. I know the difference is 10 times bigger in Intels favour when you try and do decoding/encoding. Admittaly the FX line are absolute beasts but at £500+, they ought to be.
The bottom line is all the new hardware out is pretty amazing and the future looks good.
Just my 2p worth.
Cue flaming lol :p

arguments happen because of difference in opinion and like the other 5000 posts i've made on stupid ATI vs NVIDIA or AMD vs INTEL, I shall make this my 5001th post on the matter.

ITS ALL OPINION. dont force your opinion, it only causes trouble. People buy what they think is right, and technology changes so damn fast rarely does it matter.

think before you post.

Arguments arise in the forums because it's so anonymous and there are usually no consequences to making rude comments. Half the horrible stuff I say on the internet I wouldn't dare say to someone's face, but it's okay because most people in the forums are just going to forget who I am and what I said a couple minutes after they read it anyway.

I think you missed my point, all I was saying was that all hardware out at the moment is good, and that the differences between the top stuff is so very small.
I dont force my opinion just recomend like you said, for people to try for themselves and not believe everything they read.
i might have worded it wrong :D

E-thuging for life.

Arguments generaly happen on the internet becaues of posters like this one.

That being said, forums are a great place to actualy work out issues where people disagree because everything is recorded. People can't backtrack w/o looking like an ass, or admiting they were wrong (nothing wrong with that). But onces an asshat enters the thread... It's usually doomed.

Some of the subforums need less moderation (hint-hint) and have more mature discussions.

Somepeople do it on purpose because they are bored, others just have different opinions about things...
