Why isn't this case so popular?

I just bought this case for my RE-BORN FX57 computer, and cant find anyone on here using it. It features the new style (upside down motherboard layout) 120mm exhaust, intake, nice and "SIMPLE" looking, doesnt have all that "BLING" to it, and it is in a reasonable price range...... Here, take a look: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811196006

Actually, it's more popular than you think. At least on the inside.

There are dozens of cases and manufacturers using that same reference design. It seems to be an OEM design that others wrap their own feathers onto.

It looks nice.

For me, though, my current Antec Sonata is my last case with a drive door. The friggin' thing drives me nuts.

Soon to be remidied :)

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that is is completly backwards compared to 99% of the cases out there. the Mobo and Window are on the wrong side of the box.

In my opinion, that is whats makes this case so neat.

i guess only 2 thing bothers me in this,,

if they fix it(or easy to do my self ) i will go ahead and buy it..

the hdd cage,,

if it had a fan in the end(i guess i can make one and lose 1 hd space)

the 80mm in the front

if it were bigger( i think i can drill it and remove the external 3.5s)

so anyone think it doable

It's ugly in my opinion for starters. Secondly, I don't really like the layout. Cases, are like car styling or alot of other subjective nonsense. They all basically do the same job, but some just don't suit my taste.

For example,. I have no glowing lights or cathodes, or even a window in my case. No fanbus controller, I just run my fans at full speed all the time.

the internals of that case are a copy of a SilverStone TJ06, right dow to the wind tunnel

That's the same reason I went with the Lian-Li PC60B Plus instead of the V1000, V1200 or V2000. The 'motherboard' side is on the wrong side.

Won't work for me because of how I store my computer, which is up on a shelf on a track shelving system. I'd have to turn the computer around every time I wanted to open it. No thanks :)

I'm with ya. I'm a traditionalist when it comes to cases too.

Hey, I don't wanna see MY guts, why would I want to see my computers guts?

When I was shopping around for my next case (for the fileserver) the TJ-06 was at the top of
the list because it looks clean and its aluminum and it had that wind tunnel...but when I saw
it at fry's I realised that the wind tunnel would prohibit the use of those bigger silent Zalman/Coolermast coolers.

Its not ugly to me but the TJ-06 looks way better...and as I understand it...Silverstone is made up of people who previously worked for Coolermaster.

It shows. Their designs are smart and consistantly remind of the CoolerMaster's better designs.

My only issue with the Silverstone cases, is the use of the front door. I despise front doors on computer cases.
