Okay....I just installed a new motherboard/CPU/RAM combo....

all is going fine, but for some reason, my RAM is running MUCH slower than it should be.

I have a Asus P4C-800E Deluxe and a 2.8C.

I've OC'ed it to 3.5ghz with a 250FSB...but, my RAM only runs at 166! (3:2)

I see no option in the BIOS to turn the divider off, or set the DRAM frequency directly.

:( <---me sad

I spent a huge wad on PC4200 so that I could run a 250FSB, but my Mobo is not even letting me!

I also notice that when I run CPU-Z it says my FSB is varying, and my CPU speed jumps from 3.4 to 3.6 and etc....

argh!

any ideas? anyone?
thanks!

---Also, anyone have any ideas what the "turbo" mode is for?
---Also, what does the "performance mode" do?

Ive seen something like this before ,, my buddys amd athlon.. i believe its a 2400 was posting at 7.7ghz with a 1400 mhz fsb .. lol..in cpu Z.. update bios and that pretty much solved it.. as far as your situation id check in bios to see what that says .. and if its reading it the same way update bios

(oh yea im new here ) hello! :D
