Why is my temperature so high??

When i first got the pc, it was all fine, running 35C idle and 42 in games.
Ever scince i overclocked the temp is at 50C, even when i reduced to stock.
Is it possible that just my temp readers are screwed up? because its around 38 when
i go into the bios...

might be dust buildup (depending on how old the PC is)

if you got an ASUS I know they have a util for that, you can download it from their site

yep, lots of people use diff sensors

Did you increase the voltage when you overclocked? Maybe you forgot to set it back down to stock when you clocked the processor back down.

I had a nice thick dust bunny layer between my fan and heatsink a while back, fun stuff.
