why is my keyboard not working?

i have the microsoft wireless laser keyboard 6000 v2.0 and it suddenly just stopped working five minutes ago. I tried 3 different batteries and nothing would work. it would power on but when i went to press any buttons it would not register. the reciever only had the middle light on (the keyboard light) and when i synched it was not acting properly. instead of searching it would start searching then suddenly stop. can anyone help me fix this problem with my keyboard/receiver or do i have to buy a whole new one?
 
unplug-replug reciever, restart computer.

also try another usb port for reciever
 
well my keyboard suddenly out of the blue started working again. I guess it just was on a break or something :rolleyes: Anyways thanks Ladic for the tips.
 
yea the laser mouse 5000 v1.0 i have has this weird problem that it sometimes doesn't register when i click. (very very annoying in fps games). I think I'm gonna have to buy a new mouse soon.
