Why is my 4870 using my RAM?

Look at the screens I have posted and you'll see that for some reason my 512mb 4870 is using shared memory! Why is this? It has 512 dedicated. It seems to be using the Hypermemory feature found on crap budget video cards. Is Windows and the Cat Control Center wrong?

Don't worry about it. It's nothing like the "Hypermemory" feature. It's more of an artifact of the old days when a 32MB card was high-end.

Only if your games demand more buffer memory than your card can provide. Think of it as a catch-all.
