Why is it called Tips/Tricks & Trolls ?

Why not just call it tricks & trolls

Whenever someone posts or asks for tips, those two moderators lock it dead

In the beginning the forum was mainly for making suggestions on how to trade and sell without getting burned. The troll part was restricted strictly to members that had the documentation and had waited the appropriate time suggested before claiming 'troll'. Since the start things have migrated to basically a bitch and moan session about getting trolled....about where it stands today. The tips and tricks part was never fully used or either misused, so the moderators close anything that looks like it may be off topic. If you have a specific question about a thread, feel free to PM any of the FS/T mods and they will be happy to personally answer your questions.

The problem that I see most often (and clamp down on) is that TTT is not about trading advice for deals you did at Anand, on e-bay, or with the guy down the street. If you need advice or help regarding a deal going on here, by all means post. The Just getting started buying and selling for example, is a "general advice" thread that isn't locked down. It's got great information about shipping methods for various items. But the "paypal sucks!!!!1one because X,Y,Z" get really old and add no value. Lastly, you'll see a lot of locked tread in TTT simply because once members involved in a dispuit are communication again, the moderators take a step back and let people work things out.
