why doesnt anyone have x800 xt pci-e?

all i see is PE and x800 xl and x850's...i need more info on the x800 xt i just bought.....come one guys!! i need to know overclocking headroom and differnce between that and my old xl

most x800 gt and xt pci are in dells and such companies, they bought most of em. ATI made avaliability of the card with the x850 series. x800 series can be found of agp but pci maybe used

technically same but x850xt is based on a smaller nanometer architechture, means since transistors n such are shrinked electricity has to travel less, thus heat can dissipate easier. They also used slightly changed a few components Performance gain minimal. Technically yes and no, also the x850xt has a bad ass dual slot cooling which i'm not too much of a fan of.

so my x800 xt is almost the best ati card out thats not bad then anything bad u can say about the x800 xt?.....too much power consumption?....or anything

No it's not, they're both 130 nm. As far as anyone is concerned, the x800xt chips and the x850xt chips are identical. All they did was re-tape it out to improve yeilds, since yields on the original x800xt's was awful.

yeah, the x800xt exist in PCI-E, but so few made it to the retail channels cause of poor yields, that they redesigned and came out with with the x850xt that had better availbility and slightly better performance, pushing the x800 onto the back burner before it ever got a big PCI-E user base. Its still a hell of a card tho.

this is so wierd thx for the info tho....now i have a underground video card and a non existent cpu...whats next *sigh*......well any way can i just take out my old xl and plug the xt in?....or should i reinstall my cats?
