Why does my AGP size keep resetting???

I have an Nvidia 6800GT and to play Battlefield 2 I really have to have my AGP size set to at least 128. Well I noticed when I was playing BF2 today that things were really slowing down. I went into my BIOS and noticed BAM, it was back down to 64MB. WTF?

So tried to change, exit BAM! Said that Overclocked has failed? Wow, so I moved it to 256 and it said the same thing. Moved it down again to 128 and NOW it works.

I'm confused. I played BF2 again and all is well, but I'm wondering why it keeps resetting?

Any ideas?
 
Im shooting in the dark here, but maybe your bios battery is bad, or had fallen out of its holder ;)
 
Holy Crap you could be on to something because it does sometimes say that my CMOS is corrupt and that's directly related to the battery. Man o man, my computer is not even a year old.

I think it had something to do with me updating my BIOS, after I did, it started giving me the error.

This sucks. :(
 
Well so far it's sticking but I guess I need to invest in this battery. Is it easy to replace??
 
Yeah, just note the polarity facing up now, then pull the old one out, and put the new one in making sure the polarity is the same as the old one.

You may want to get a BIOS update as well, assuming that the new battery doesn't work. It may fix those problems.

Since I don't know what that is, I"m going to assume nope. :D

I'm pretty sure this is when all my problems started in the first place, meaning, when I flashed my BIOS for the first time through ASUS. Everyone said how easy it was nowadays so I took a shot. I'm not so sure I should have done that now.

I could try to flash again, but at this point I feel I could do more harm than good.
