If i enter a website with a java applet.. my Nvidia 6800GT and my 17 LCD blinks.. and then the type gets "funny". Almost like when you run at a non-supported resolution.

The solution to get it back to normal is to switch to 16bit mode...and then back to 32bit (not that this has anything to do with the problem, it just 'resets' the video card.

Is this common?

I've experienced this before on my 5700 Ultra. IRC I reinstalled to a newer version of Java and it was fixed.
