Why does it run soo cool!

I've noticed that my new core 2 duo seems to run WAY cooler than all the other processors I've ever owned. I have the default generic fan that intel gave me.


What are your ideas about the temperature of the core 2 duo.

PS: I love these new processors. I think they are the best thing that ever happened to the industry, and we are soon going to see an evolutionary change in computing. (waiting on software...)

They are the coolest... new technology. And as the die's get smaller, the temps and wattages will get better. Yay!

Much cooler than Prescotts, yes. Not so sure if cooler than Northwoods, though.

I have the conroe. I was even able to overclock it easily to 3.2 Ghz It's standard @ 1.86

no way was northwood cooler...

besides, C2Ds undervolt wonderfully, way better than any Northwood I ever used

I don't know about undervolting, but at stock Northwoods ran really cool.
