Why do you upgrade?

Hello,

So i come to the conclusion.. that i upgrade for the fun of it, playing video games is just something i do so that all the continueous upgrades i do, won't seem like a waste of money.. lol

I mean the truth is.. i get more pleasure out of just opening my case and upgrading, and messing around with things, than i do with being able to play all the latest games with all the eye candy...

I upgade when my computer can no longer do what I need it to do well. And when I do upgrade, I tend to go a little overbord. The last system lasted 4 years with no major changes.

I'm the same way too. I can play every game I want to just fine but I'm still buying upgrades and opening up my case every month.

The ironic thing about this behavior is that, because of my constant upgrading, I don't have enough money left to buy games to play!

Upgraded because my 486 just wasn't giving me the kind of performance I wanted out of Doom 3, FarCry, UT2004, etc
