Why do some forums have only 1 page?

For example.

Right now the auto forum has only one page and a very short list of threads, presumable from a lack of activity. Shouldn't I be able to see old threads page by page? The Intel forum are also exhibiting an identical condition, as is this subforum. Am I missing something?
 
If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, under the list of posts, you'll see a section "Display options". In here is a drop down labeled "From the". By default (on my machine at least) "Last month" is selected, so you'll only see posts that were active in the last month. There are more options in the drop down that you can select.

You can also change this in your User CP settings so that whatever setting you choose takes effect across all the pages you visit on this forum.
