Why do I keep getting this error message?

My system is in the sig, minus the video card. It's a 9800pro and every once in a while when I boot up I get a warning saying I haven't connected the additional molex to the power supply on the card, which I have. Could it be something with the card, or the psu? Usually doing a reboot or two will seem to "fix" the problem

the molex connection on the card or the psu molex that I'm hooking up to the card?

Try a dedicated power connection from the PSU. If you still get the same error, this is one of the warning signs that there is a problem with the card.

I thought it was dedicated, maybe not. I'll have to double check. And blah because the card was bought brand new.

I have a 800xt pci that was 3 months old. Suddenly I am getting the Red Letters of Death.

Didn't change a thing, but to make sure I checked with a volt meter, it was geeting what it should be getting and it was plugged in.

Called ATI the guy gave me an RMA# as soon as I said Red letters of death. I has been gone 5 days now and I am expecting it back soon. I am writing this using a Radon 7000
for the PCI slot

Good luck
