Just got a brand new 42" Samsung DLP. There's a VGA input (labeled "PC"), two HDMI, and the normal slew of inputs. I hooked up my PC via the PC input, and it looks so-so in Windows. I wanted to use a DVI-HDMI cable like you guys say to improve image quality, but thought I'd read my manual first. Good thing I read the manula, there is something in there that specifically says "do not connect your PC to an HDMI input via a DVI converter, you will damage your TV!" Now, I'm not about to try it (for obvious resons), but I can't help but wonder "why?" when you guys have had so much success with it?

i dont see how...i think thinks it more a liability issue...there are tons of people who use their TVs as their monitors and they dont have problems.. :dunno:
