Hello All! hope everyone is doing well.

I just dont get it! I just dont understand what I am doing wrong. No matter what I do, it just never seems to work with OC'in (please see system below in signature). Currently, I am set to 2:1 and cant even get a stable OC at 205x11. It will boot into windows, however, after a period of time (less than 30 mins) my computer will restart (cold reboot).

Do I really need to loosen up my timings just to get my fsb to 205? Am I doing something wrong? I set memory voltage to 2.8 and cpu to 1.55 (tried 1.60, same results). I just dont get it! I know with my particular motherboard the AGP/PCI isnt locked, so I really cannot OC too much without the risk of HD corruption, however I should at least be able to squeek out a bit!!!

Hoping someone could help! Thanks!

try it.

what kind of temps are you getting?

Temps are really good....case temp is 22 degrees or so (pc in my cold, dungeon-like basement...ugh!!!!). Cpu temp is around 32 or so.

Any idea what I should put my timings at?

I would suggest you consider a new board...a 3200+ is quite a good processor, and not having a AGP/PCI lock really puts a damper on things. It's not worth stressing out the other components for a little increase in speed, I say. What board are you using now?

Darn, forgot to put it in my sig!! Asus K8V SE Deluxe mobo!

Dont let the PCI Locks fool you on that board. When I had the K8V i was able to hit 232fsb @ 1:1 I set my cpu to 10x HT was at 800. Memory was maxed timings...Corsair 3500 Though...CPU volts was at 1.75v...Your memory is probably some of your problems..loosen the timings to say CL2.5 and give the cpu 1.7v Check Temps...bring your multi down to 10...Report back..Turn off any USB and Parallel Devices and sata You dont need....

I think I have my HT set to x4...right now it is set at 800mhz.

After about an hour of gaming in EverQuest2, my computer did a hard reboot even at STOCK speeds!! WTH?? Why am I having these problems at stocks speeds and with my current setup? Its not like I went cheap on the ram or video card or something

What could the problem be at stock speeds?

Could it be the power outlet on the wall? The only reason why I suggest that is that sometimes my monitor starts to 'shake' and 'wobble'. I tried using another outlet in my basement, but they are all connected to the same circuit/braker. If someone thinks it might be this, I'd be more than willing to try to take it upstairs.

Have you even tested the ram? Just because a computer boots up, and works for a while doesn't mean the RAM is good..... Use MemTest 86 or that 1.01 whatever version from OCZ. Leave it on for a few hours and see if you got any errors.
