Why aren't the Video Card forums separate?

I've noticed that there is much more peace between AMD/Intel guys then there is ATI/nVidia guys. I think this is because the forums are actually separate forums, and not subforums. With AMD/Intel, each has their own playground and anything that would cover both goes in General Hardware. I realize that there are subforums for the Video Cards, but a lot of people don't notice this or somehow seem to think that it's OK to Troll on the other side since it's a subforum or something. I think that having "ATI Video Cards" and "nVidia Video Cards" would greatly cut back on the flaming/trolling, and then the general questions go in General Hardware like the CPU guys do. I only suggest this because it seems to work very well on the CPU side, I hardly ever see AMD/Intel guys start flame wars in each other's forums and even when they do it's nowhere near as nasty as the Video Card ones are.

I understand what your saying. But thing is there shouldn't have to be two forums! If the tards can't control there opinions then they don't have to be on [H]ard. Its as simple as that.

I know that.
And you know that.

And yet still no one cooperates. It seems as though the recent "increase" in bans/vacations hasn't helped at all. Maybe this will (it certainly worked for the CPU guys as I pointed out).

I don't usually browse the general hardware forum so I think having them as subforums work for me since I click the Video one and I see general video card info, not specific questions about a certain card etc... :)

Also motherboards aren't separate. I guess if you want everything the same I would make AMD and intel processors a subforum or make the mobo and video cards separate.

A) The Video Card/GPU market has quite a few other players, like S3, Via, Intel, Matrox, 3D Labs, XGI, etc. This contrasts with CPUs and MoBos, where AMD and Intel rule 90%+ of the market, and the only other even bit player in the consumer space is Via, and they have their own forum now. Therefore, a generic Video Card/GPU forum is pretty much a necessity.

B) Trolls/flamers will not be tolerated. If a member proves unable or unwilling to read, understand, and follow the [thread=760666]Rules[/thread], s/he will not enjoy the privilege of posting on this board for long. Altec is on the right track here.

C) There are people that are genuinely undecided on what GPU brand to buy, and what to seek input from both camps.

D) The staff will defend the ATI and NV playgrounds.

That is exactly what I came in here to propose.

You so smart, no wonder they made you a mod. ;) :)
